Line 6 X2™, Relay™ and XD-series digital wireless systems operate outside of the core TV bands
Line 6, Inc. (line6.com) announced today that its lines of digital wireless microphone and digital wireless guitar systems, which include X2™, Relay™ and XD-series wireless systems, are exempt from a recent consumer alert issued by the FCC.
The alert states that any wireless microphone system (or similar device) that operates in the core TV bands is subject to interference received from any other device, as well as future wireless microphone restrictions.
Official communications from the FCC have been sent to wireless system retailers and manufacturers, who in turn must make aware potential customers by posting the consumer alert on their websites and in stores.
Line 6 digital wireless systems operate license-free in the 900MHz and 2.4GHz ISM bands, and they are exempt from this and other recent FCC advisories. For example, users can continue to use their Line 6 digital wireless systems on and after June 12, 2010, which is the completion date of the digital television (DTV) transition.
