Alvarez proudly announces the release of nine new Masterworks instruments for 2007. Handcrafted and loaded with professional features, these new Masterworks models are sure to appeal to musicians of all playing levels and musical genres.

The new Alvarez Masterworks MD5000 dreadnought features solid Brazilian rosewood back and sides and offers outstanding projection. With its solid Engelmann spruce top bound in our exquisite maple/herringbone pattern, the MD5000 is a work of art, both visually and musically. (MSRP: $3,189)

The stunning new MD1000 dreadnought is built from the finest of tonewoods, with a solid Indian rosewood back and sides for thunderous projection, and a solid spruce top for unparalleled tone. The top features our ivory multilayer binding and abalone rosette. (MSRP: $2,499) Also available is a cutaway version, the MD1000C, which features the System 600T MKII electronics package. (MSRP: $2,799)

Finger-style players will love the MF1000 folk guitar. Handcrafted from solid Indian rosewood with a solid spruce top, the MF1000 features balanced bass and midrange, with superbly articulate highs. Bound in ivory with an abalone rosette, this guitar is an inspiration on many levels. (MSRP: $2,499) Also available is a cutaway version, the MF1000C, which features System 600T MKII electronics. The new Alvarez Masterworks MC1000 classical features a solid Indian rosewood back and sides for maximum projection, with a solid cedar top for superb tonality. The MC1000's ebony fingerboard is our finest. Tortoise body binding, our mosaic rosette and gold tuners round out the MC1000 package. (MSRP: $2,199)

Our latest folk guitar offering, the MF350 features a solid Indian rosewood body with a solid Engelmann spruce top. Tastefully appointed with our tortoise/herringbone body binding and wood/oval rosette, the MF350 is sublimely Alvarez. The solid mahogany MF60C cutaway folk guitar has a solid western cedar top and our top-of-the-line rosewood fingerboard. The Venetian cutaway provides access to even the highest fret positions. The MF60C also includes the Alvarez System 600T MKII electronics package. (MSRP: $1,199)
