| This January Ampeg unveiled the BA500 combo amp, a high output stage combo for players who want big power and versatility all in one convenient package. The BA500 provides power and headroom in one unit, making it the combo amp of choice for rock, funk, jazz, and R&B players. The BA500 features two 10-inch, 200 watt custom drivers for plenty of power handling and a true one-inch horn driver with an attenuator for controlling high frequency output. It operates at 350 watts RMS self-contained and up to 500 watts of RMS output at 2 ohms with a parallel extension speaker jack. Three bands of rotary EQ plus a nine-band graphic allow for quick and easy tone setting, and the tilt-back design is perfect for the monitor style stage application.
