Ampeg Introduces SVT6PRO Head for 2005Jan 24, 2005  Click image for closeup | At this Winter NAMM, Ampeg introduced the new SVT6PRO Pro-Series amplifier head featuring a new multi-tube preamp section, a semi-parametric EQ section for low-mid to high-mid frequency control, and a massive 1000 watt Ampeg MOSFET power section. The SVT6PRO features 750 watts @ 8 ohms, 1000 watts @ 4 ohms RMS output; (2) 12AX7 tubes in the preamp, (2) 12AU7 tubes and (1) 12AX7 for the power amp drivers; rotary EQ for lows and highs, and a 4-band semi-parametric; EQ for mid frequencies; 4:1 input compression; a transformer balanced line out; preamp out/power amp in; an effects loop; and tuner out. Features - 750 watts @ 8 ohms, 1000 watts @ 4 ohms
