New AmpliTube® Preset XChange: Online Preset Sharing Service Launched Users may now post, search, download and share their favorite AmpliTube® presets online

IK Multimedia is proud to announce the launch of AmpliTube Preset XChange — The AmpliTube online community where users and Artists can collaborate and share their created "Powered by AmpliTube" tone presets.

AmpliTube Preset XChange is a free service available to every registered user of any "Powered by AmpliTube" product, including AmpliTube 2 (including Live and DUO), the newly released AmpliTube Fender®, AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix ™ , Ampeg® SVX and AmpliTube Metal. The "Powered by AmpliTube range of products is one of the largest and best sounding guitar & bass software tone products on the market, and the only products containing the legendary tone machines from Fender® and Ampeg®.

The AmpliTube Preset XChange service automatically appears in the User Area of all "Powered by AmpliTube" product owners, so they can begin sharing their presets immediately. Service Features:
The AmpliTube Preset XChange area supports presets made using AmpliTube X-GEAR, the expandable software rig shell-host that allows users to mix and match any component from any "Powered by AmpliTube" product. In the AmpliTube Preset XChange area, users may search for tone presets by general information and style, instruments, artists or song-specific inspiration. You may categorize your presets by assigning 11 different parameters, including: Author, Name, Description, Style, Sound Character, Instrument Type, Body Style, Pickup Position, Artist, Band, Song, and Song Position. Plus, you may include your own Keywords to ensure that users will find presets that match exactly what they are searching. The AmpliTube Preset XChange "Advanced Search" function allows you to search over 22 descriptive parameters, narrowing your searches down to the finest precision of sonic detail. There's also an easy-to-use peer rating system (1-5 stars) for quickly marking presets to help you keep an online archive of your favorites.

In addition to the text description, users may access a handy visual reference for each preset. This reference contains representations of all of the components used to create the preset; including the signal chain, stomp boxes, preamp/power amp section, cabinet and mic section, and the rack effects module.

Plus, in addition to user-to-user preset sharing, users also have the ability to download all of the original style-based factory groups of presets for all of the "Powered by AmpliTube" products.

The AmpliTube Preset XChange provides one of the most advanced software tone-sharing environments in the industry, allowing hundreds of thousands of AmpliTube users and artists to post, search, download and share their favorite presets online.

Artists' presets are already available for download, created by some of today's hottest guitarists and producers.
