These next two pages cover bends that start at the flatted 3rd of the key. This page looks at a 2 fret bend up to the 4th degree, while the next page covers a 1 fret bend up to the natural 3rd. In the key of A, our 2 fret bend means raising our C (b3 degree) up to the D (4th degree). This is shown in the example below where the C on the 2nd string, 13th fret, is being bent up to the D at the 15th fret. Some variations on this theme are given so that you can hear it in different contexts.
