The first equitek
2 condenser mics, completely designed and engineered by CAD's Engineering department, have started shipping, kicking things off with the 100
2 studio/live condenser. The e60
2 instrument mic and e300
2 large diaphragm condenser are scheduled to ship after the Summer NAMM show.
The new equitek2 series mics are versatile and intended for recording and live sound applications. These include the e100
2, e200
2, and e300
2 large condensers, the e60
2 instrument mic, and e80
2 live performance mic. Combining unmatched versatility and performance, the e100
2 supercardioid electret condenser features an extended frequency response of 10-18kHz; dynamic range of 132dB; total harmonic distortion of less than 0.15%; high output capability of 148dB SPL with pad; transformerless balanced output circuits; and an internal power reservoir system.
The e1002 has a single capsule for the single supercardioid polar pattern, and the e200
2 employs twin capsules for producing three patterns (supercardioid, omnidirectional, and figure of 8). The e300
2 features a large diameter (1.1") externally biased, dual diaphragm capsule for producing three polar patterns (cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure 8).
