The humbucker pickup in the new series is called The California Convertible(TM). It offers coil tapping, coil splitting, phasing and series parallel versatility. In split mode, it delivers the effervescent "sparkle" of its single-coil cousin. The California Special is available with white or black covers. The PAF size California Convertible is available with chrome, white, or black covers. Each pickup features the name of the pickup in golden bronze.
