Drawmer Plug-ins for Mackie Digital 8-Bus Console Now Available

Mackie Designs and Drawmer have announced two dynamics packages for the Digital 8-Bus. The first version will include Drawmer's industry standard frequency conscious gating, plus compression and limiting. An advanced version will add Drawmer's well-known "Peak Punch" algorithms and further innovations.

With twenty years of experience designing dynamics processors, Ivor Drawmer's products are world renowned among mastering engineers and anyone with an appetite for high quality noise gates and compressors. According to D8B software guru Bob Tudor, it's an addition D8B owners will greatly appreciate. Tudor admits, "D8B has noise gates on board, but only very basic ones. We've been beat up a little bit, in fact, for not offering ducking, frequency-conscious triggering, keying from other channels, and 'Gate Hold,' the kinds of things customers have come to expect from Drawmer. All I can say is, we listened!"
