Edirol VMC-1 Digitizes and Cleans Up Analog VideoJan 21, 2004 Click image for closeup | Edirol has announced a new video optimizer & media converter -- the VMC-1, an Analog to DV bi-directional converter. The converted video streams can be corrected with 4 real-time color adjustments without using a PC or video editing applications. Time-based errors or video delay from old VCR's can be removed with the TBC (time base corrector) and frame synchronizer. In addition, you can use motion adaptive 3D Y/C separation to reduce color bleed as well as auto gain control (AGC) to adjust brightness and compensate for exposure problems. Equipped with 2 DV (front and rear), 1 input and 2 output analog ports consisting of S-video, composition, L/R stereo combinations, the LVC-400 is ideal for the user needing to convert and optimize analog material into the digital domain. The VMC-1 lists for $675 and will be available in March. For more information, visit their web site at www.edirol.com. |
