EV (Electro-Voice) introduced the Force i Series at this year's Winter NAMM. The series includes the Force i (15-inch two-way, full-range), the Force i Sub (18-inch) and the Force i Monitor (12-inch).

Force i:

The Force i 15-inch two-way full-range loudspeaker features EV's RMD (Ring-Mode Decoupling) technology for extraordinarily pure vocals and mids as well as EV's DH2010a 1.25-inch pure titanium compression driver. The cabinet has a trapezoidal enclosure and compact size--only 25.5 inches tall--designed for easy moving and efficient vehicle packing. The Force i is the same height as the Force i Sub for easier packing in a vehicle.

With an 80-degree x 55-degree true Constant-Directivity horn, the Force i is wide enough coverage to project a big sound. In addition, a PRO driver protection circuit minimizes chance of driver failure and EV's new Barrier Port design extends and smoothes bass response by minimizing out-of-phase reflections from ports. The Force i weighs only 46 pounds and comes with a built-in metal stand mount.

Force i Sub:

The Force i Sub features a rugged 18-inch cast frame woofer with four-layer voice coil and tremendous excursion capability with a usable bass response to 36 Hz. Built-in input filter and response-tailored woofer allows single amp drive capability--no biamping required. The sub comes with a 34-inch pole and metal socket mount for elevating full-range systems and rear-mounted, three-stage collapsible handle and casters. Weighing only 69 pounds, the Force i Sub can be used as a dolly for two-way systems and other equipment making transportation very easy.

Force i Monitor:

The Force i Monitor is designed to let performers on stage hear the mix so they can give their best performance. Thanks to its small size and light weight, it's easy to use even on the smallest stages and at 28 lbs, it is easy to move. The Force i Monitor's tonal balance has been carefully chosen so that all the things you need to hearævoices, guitars, snare drum are reproduced with pin-point accuracy. The EV Force i Monitor has a 100 degree x 100 degree CD horn which, unlike the limited directivity of some monitorsædistributes wide, even coverage over a decent-sized stage area. The 12-inch woofer has a clean yet punchy sound.

To add to its flexibility, the Force i Monitor has a built-in stand mount so it can be used as a front-of-house system or announce system. It can also be combined with the Force i Sub for a compact, lightweight full-range sound system.

All Force i Series products are made from RoadWood, which is twice as strong and half the weight of particleboard; manufactured in the USA; and come with a five-year parts and labor warranty.
