Eric Marienthal is a jazz saxophonist best known for his work as a member of the Chick Corea Elektric Band. He is also a successful solo artist, with most solo recordings being of the smooth jazz genre.
Marienthal studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He then joined a band led by trumpeter Al Hirt. Eric then became a member of the Disneyland Band in Anaheim, California, where he was discovered by Chick Corea.
Eric Marienthal is currently Lead Alto for Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band.
