Ernie Ball Auctioning Custom Axis Supersport Guitar To Benefit Pediatric Kidney Foundation

Dec 23, 2005

Ernie Ball Music Man proudly offers a custom walnut top all rosewood neck Axis Supersport for auction on eBay starting December 21 and ending December 28. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the Casey Lee Ball Foundation for pediatric kidney research. Click here to go to the auction page.

Features include a basswood body with a 1/4" premium California Claro hardwood walnut top, one-piece all rosewood neck, Custom Dimarzio pickups, Music Man vintage tremolo and 5-way switch. The combination of walnut and rosewood provides an exciting new dimension to the popular Axis and Axis Supersport sound.

Weighing in at 7.9 lbs., this guitar displays a very unique dark, warm tone. A must have for any Music Man enthusiast looking for the ultimate custom guitar. The beautiful one-of-a kind special order guitar was built in July 2005 at the Music Man factory.

Currently the world's largest private pediatric kidney foundation, the Casey Lee Ball Foundation is a non-profit organization working for the advancement of pediatric kidney research. Casey Lee Ball, third son of Sterling Ball, was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease at age two. At age five, while Casey and Sterling were recuperating from kidney transplant surgery, they decided to create the Casey Lee Ball Foundation. As a result of their tireless efforts over the last eleven years, several new medicines have made it to the market in record time and are helping to reduce the side effects of kidney transplant medications.
