Fender Introduces The Passport Deluxe PD-500 Portable Live Sound System

Fender® Audio is proud to introduce the latest evolution of its award-winning line of portable audio products, the new Passport® Deluxe PD-500. This new 500-watt full audio system is highlighted by increased power output, crystal clear sound, specially designed state-of-the-art speakers and a host of new features that simply add to the already incredible value of this revered sound system.

First introduced in 1998, the Passport line from Fender has become known the world over as the benchmark in portable audio solutions for any public speaking situation—from the boardroom to church or from coffee house to the big stage. With greater power output in the same sized package as the best-selling PD-250, the new PD-500 is still the ideal solution for public speaking, yet it has been designed to offer even greater performance for musicians who want a great sounding, easily transported full system that can handle both instruments and vocals with outstanding results.

The new PD-500 features an 8 channel mixer, patented Feedback Killer, 48 volt phantom power, selectable digital effects and a 500-watt class D stereo power amp. The speaker cabinets on the new PD-500 feature Neo-Precision neodymium speakers designed by Celestion for superior musical performance and decreased weight. These NeoPrecision speakers come with two 8" woofers and one titanium compression driver and horn per cabinet.



Weighing in at a mere 53 lbs., the PD-500 can go anywhere and do anything. Additional features include a docking connector for Passport Wireless Receiver, microphone channels 1-6 with Level, FX send, Monitor, Pan, Treble, Bass and 20dB Pad controls, Line Channels 7-8 with Level, FX send, Monitor, Balance, Treble, Bass and Mono controls, Monitor Out (1/4") with level control and Tape Out (Dual RCA® jacks) with level control. A number of useful digital effects feature a master level control, and a one button Feedback Killer™ eliminates feedback on all channels.

The Passport Deluxe PD-500 comes with two P51 Mic Kits featuring professional cardioid low impedance dynamic microphones and 18' microphone cables. Additionally, it comes with two 6.9 meter NL4 speaker cables, detachable IEC power cable and switchable voltage power supply. US MSRP is $1,999.99.
