Graph Tech Gives String Saver Saddles A New Look

Graph Tech has launched String Saver™ Steels. As good to look at as they are to play with, String Saver Steels come in a choice of the most desirable saddle finishes including Chrome, Gold, Brushed Stainless Steel and Black. These lustrous, vintage finishes encase the String Saver saddle technology providing the legendary performance users have come to expect in the attractive finishes they crave.

Two of the premiere, specialty guitar manufacturers in the U.S. today, California-based Anderson Guitarworks and New York-based Sadowsky Guitars, have embraced the new String Saver Steels for the quality of their appearance, sound and effect on string life.

"After 20 years and half a dozen different bridges, I've finally got the one I've been looking for all this time," says Tom Anderson of Anderson Guitarworks. "It sounds great and doesn't break strings."

The distinctively black String Saver saddle material is a superior, chemically-grafted polymer that includes Teflon, the slipperiest material known to man. The system's unique design reduces friction and metal fatigue to virtually eliminate string binding and breakage while also increasing sustain by 15% over traditional materials.

"String Saver Steels are the perfect blend of form and function," says Graph Tech President Dave Dunwoodie. "For instance, with the chrome finish, you get all of the great treble spikes and tone of steel saddles, a sharp chrome look, plus the peace of mind that you won't bust a dinger in the middle of your solo."

FerraGlide saddles will be rolled into the new String Saver Steel family of products as the brushed steel model. All String Saver models will be compliant with Graph Tech's GHOST modular pickup system so customers can purchase them with the piezo pickups as well. Suggested retail prices for String Saver Steel saddles will range from $64.95 to $69.95. The product is expected to begin shipping in July 2006.
