Gretsch Introduces Steve Ferrone Signature Series Drums

Renowned drummer Steve Ferrone has collaborated with Gretsch Drums to design and offer a new addition to their Signature Series drum line. Steve Ferrone Signature Series drums feature classic Gretsch USA formula 6-ply maple shells with 30-degree bearing edges, die-cast hoops and interior Silver Sealer finish. Chrome hardware, Steve Ferrone signature badges and a stellar 1955 Cadillac Green gloss lacquer finish complete the signature appearance.

Steve's motivation behind his "dream set" was based on observing Gretsch's rich heritage. According to Steve, "I was looking through an old Gretsch history book and noticed the Cadillac green set with Max Roach next to it. The kit was just beautiful; I knew I'd really like to have one of those. So they actually made one for me from the original paint!"

Because Steve uses different drum sizes according to what is most appropriate for each of his musical projects, his Signature drums are available as custom orders by component. Among the drums offered are several non-standard sizes that Steve finds to be inspirational: 14" depth bass drums in 22" and 24" diameters and 14" snares that range from 4" to 8-1/2" in depth.
