ILIO Announces Four S.A.G.E Xpanders for Stylus RMX

ILIO is making its Groove Control activated collections availlable as new S.A.G.E. Xpanders for Spectrasonics' Stylus RMX virtual instrument. Each ILIO S.A.G.E. Xpander comes with the complete groove collection, plus a special "Bonus ILIO" section, and a library of new Stylus RMX Multi patches that allow more flexibility than ever using Spectrasonics' S.A.G.E. technology. Each Xpander is completely different from the next, and will further broaden the potential of Stylus RMX. This bring the total number of announced S.A.G.E XPander titles to nine.

Stark Raving Beats S.A.G.E. Xpander -- Intense Multitrack Live Grooves

This library features aggressive live drums, with added percussion and remixes. The original groove tempos start at 105 BPM and accelerate to 170. Each groove, though recorded live, is split out into several highly-isolated multi-tracked elements. Users can swap snares, kicks, hats, and toms between grooves at will. Stark Raving Beats is extremely suitable for remixing, producing, film scoring, and creating "live" grooves from scratch.

Ethno Techno S.A.G.E. Xpander -- Creative Live Percussion Grooves

Bashiri Johnson (Whitney Houston, Miles Davis, Madonna, Saturday Night Live) applies his talent for feel and sonic discovery to this entirely original groove library. Ethno Techno features rare instruments and creative rhythms and textures. From broad and spacious ambient explorations to radical heart-pounding beats, all have a unique organic flavor that sound great on their own, or as added spice to grooves from any of the other S.A.G.E. Xpander titles. ET was produced, mixed and remixed by Eric Persing.

Skippy's Noizbox S.A.G.E. Xpander -- Wicked Remix Groove Elements John "Skippy" Lehmkuhl opens his box of extreme grooves in this collection of technoclub beats with a hard-driving Euro attitude. Featuring cinematic sounds and textures, more than half of Skippy's Noizbox is over 120 BPM, and contains a creative palette of "Hi and Mid-Fi" sounds, skillfully woven together in Skippy's unmistakable style.

Skippy's Big Bad Beats S.A.G.E. Xpander -- Urban Remix Grooves

In this Xpander, John Lehmkuhl used his experience and vivid imagination to create Hip Hop, Trip Hop, and dance grooves that come in a variety of flavors, including smaller mixes, no-kick, no-snare, and even breakdown versions. Big Bad Beats combines old school attitude with totally new grooves, presented in Hi-Fi sonic fidelity.

Groove Control is the exclusive method of sound development from Spectrasonics and ILIO that allows real-time tempo, feel, pitch, and mix control over grooves from selected titles. It's also a key component of Spectrasonics' Stylus RMX and the S.A.G.E. Xpanders.
