Ibanez Announces Alternate Finish for Ultimate S Guitars

The new 2008 Ibanez Ultimate S guitars at the Winter NAMM Show, get a fiery new finish &mdash Red Viking.

"The new S Prestige models take what the S is known for &mdash fast, fat mahogany tone without the fat mahogany weight &mdash and augments those qualities at every level." explained Shogo Hayashi of Ibanez. "The new S Prestige is the first S with a 24-fret neck. Hardware-wise, you've got the new Zero Resistance ZR2 ball bearing-driven trem and the new ZPS3 spring system so you can get even more radical arming techniques with even better stability. The new Hot Grinder humbucker and Short Tracer single-coil pickups, which are exclusive to the Prestige S, are designed to coax even more mahogany warmth and fatness out of the body."



The S5470, as with all Ibanez Prestige Models, features a deluxe hardshell case.
