Ibanez Renews Metal Focus With Limited Production Axes

Four RG models guitars on display at the Ibanez booth at the Austin Summer NAMM Show clearly indicate the even stronger focus of the guitar maker on the heavy metal player. The swirled finish RGR52EX1 and RGR521EX2 both feature the reverse headstocks popular among metal players as well as "Designed by EMG" pickups. Just to make sure the metal message isn't missed, the RGR521EX2 sports skull and reaper neck inlays.

The RG350MDXBX is the answer to the calls by the Ibanez faithful for an RG once more with a maple fretboard (there has been no white-necked RG in quite some time even though the first were) while the RGT6EXFXBK will satisfy those who prefer the comfort and sustain of a neck-thru body RG.

All four limited production RG are in basic black, and are all limited production models. The list prices range from $599.99 to $1133.32.
