Often, you want to play the note that is the key of the tune (in this case, E), and instead of just playing the E, you can pluck a D and bend it up to the E. This is the case in measure 5, where we bend the D at the 15th fret up to the E at the 17th fret, using a little vibrato to help sustain it. For the descending run that occurs after it, we just use patterns in the E blues scale, which works well over any chords in a blues tune. |
