JOEMEEK announced their 'MicroMic' JM27 - a clean and expressive microphone that gives an uncoloured and pure signal. It is recommended for recording acoustic instruments such as guitar, bass, drums, brass and reeds, and as a general purpose microphone for any studio performances. Its rugged design and dynamic performance makes it equally suitable for subtle recording (i.e. choral work), and extreme use (i.e. close micing of instrument amplifiers).
The JM27 is a medium sized diaphragm true capacitor microphone with interchangeable head. This feeds a minimalist FET type pre amplifier for low noise and superb overload margins. The output balancing is handled by a quality audio output transformer.
Despite it's performance and features, the JM27 is also a low cost microphone. By sourcing components from high tech Chinese manufacturing companies, combined with rigorous quality control and testing procedures, JOEMEEK has been able to keep the price down. JOEMEEK MicroMic JM27 features:
- True capacitor; (48v phantom power required.)
- 20mm diameter (0.8 inch) 6 micron gold sputtered condenser capsule.
- Quality transformer output.
- FET pre amplifier stage.
- Low noise and wide dynamic range.
- Cardioid response; replaceable capsule.
- Rugged and light-weight design.
- Supplied with anti-shock mic clip.
- Dimensions: 137x22mm
- Die cast mic body
(UK) Retail Price £119 inc VAT , export RRP £105 . The JM27 is planned for release in November 2001.
