Janis Joplin Biopic Now Has Lead Actress - Hollywood Make-up Designers to be Tested

So they are going to be making a biopic about Janis Joplin, which seems like a pretty cool idea. Apparently, several singers and actresses were considered, before they finally settled on Nina Arianda, a Tony-award-winning Broadway performer. Sounds good to me, I'd really rather see someone who knows how to sing playing the role, rather than a well-known Hollywood name that can't sing her way out of a paper bag.

The only problem I see is, well, am I the only one who thinks that Janis Joplin was just really unattractive? I love Janis's voice as much as the next guy, probably more. But some Hollywood make-up professional is going to have a pretty tough time making the lady on the right look like Pearl...
