Kelly Joe Phelps Biography

Kelly Joe Phelps is an American musician and songwriter, born in Sumner, Washington in 1959. He is renowned for playing lap steel guitar on a modified Gibson acoustic guitar.

Phelps began his recording in his thirties, his early albums heavily influenced by traditional blues. His first three albums feature Phelps playing solo. On subsequent works he has added additional backing musicians.
