| VirSyn Software Synthesizer unveiled the successor of VirSyn 1.1: VirSyn TERA, a modular software synthesizer based on five different synthesis technologies including the "Spectrum synthesis." This new synthesis allows the creation and manipulation of resonant bodies with up to 128 formant frequencies. The user interface of VirSyn TERA simplifies the access to the huge sound space of its predecessor. The classical modulation matrix together with a simple method for patching modules with virtual cables makes operating the modular system of VirSyn TERA as easy as other synths with a fixed structure. The integrated step sequencer is pattern/song oriented and can even be used in a VST host environment. Highlights: 16 modular synths with up to 64 voices - Virtual analog synthesis
- FM synthesis
- Waveshaping
- Physical modeling
- Spectrum synthesis
Integated effects: - Chorus/Flanger/Phaser, Distortion and Echo/Delay
- Room simulator/Reverb
Pattern/Stepsequencer - Programmable Arpeggiator
- Live performance1
Compatible with VST2 and ASIO. VirSyn TERA will be available for Mac and PC at a suggested retail price of 279. Shipping begins in April 2002 for the PC version. The Mac version is expected to ship at the end of May 2002. For more information, visit their web site at www.virsyn.com. |
