What if we want more? If you take our chord shapes and extend it to include a seventh it is then a seventh chord.

The most common type of seventh chord is a dominant seventh, which is a major triad (1, 3, 5) and a flat 7th(whole step down from root.

Ex. C7 or Cdom7 is (1, 3, 5, b7) a.k.a. (C, E, G, Bb).

This chord also has a shape. seq|4_5|3_4|3_7|2_5|A7 |seq

This example is a funky elaboration of that Amin, D7 progression. Try slowing it down till you get the hang of it, then move back to the recomended speed.
