Lexicon's Desktop Audio Products Group announces LexiVerb. The new TDM-compatible "software plug-in" combines world-class Lexicon reverb and a simple, yet powerful user interface to create an indispensable tool for the well-known Digidesign ProTools® system. LexiVerb supports ProTools 4.0 automation and LexiVerb parameter groupings (Macros), which offer complete control over the individual parameters that comprise the legendary "Lexicon Sound."
The LexiVerb plug-in may be used in either mono-to-stereo or stereo-to-stereo configurations. Whether mixing for music, film/TV, or multimedia, four (4) powerful Lexicon algorithms, Chamber, Plate, Inverse and Gate, are available with 100 presets (ed. note: see descriptions below). A unique user interface is specifically designed for the professional audio engineer.
Each of the four algorithms is displayed as a "wire diagram", complete with pop-up faders. Up to eight (8) faders may be simultaneously assigned to a Soft Row to provide immediate and convenient access to the appropriate parameter adjustment. An integral frequency response graph displays the envelopes for the low, mid, and high frequency bands. Collapsible windows provide simple alteration of screen space with a single mouse-click. A built-in Macro Editor permits parameter grouping of as many as four (4) parameters complete with individual scaling adjustments.
LexiVerb's primary features also include: 24-bit DSP processing; 100 new factory presets, support for ProTools 4.0 automation functions, configurable user preferences and on-screen help.
System hardware & software requirements: TDM-equipped core System with ProTools 4.0 (or later). Each LexiVerb reverb plug-in requires a single DSP Farm chip for operation.

List of Algorithms contained in the LexiVerb Plug-In
Chamber Chamber provides an even, relatively dimensionless reverberation, with little change in color as the sound decays. Its unobtrusive character makes it useful on a wide range of program material.
Plate The Plate algorithm mimics the sound of metal plate reverbs. It has a dense, smooth, colored sound that makes it a good choice for enhancing any type of percussion. Larger sizes and longer reverb times are particularly effective on vocals and brass, but this algorithm can be optimized on virtually any source.
Gate Gate provides a very dense field with a sudden cutoff, rather than the smoothly decaying envelope normally associated with reverberation. It is useful for unnatural effects such as gated reverbs on snare drums or vocals.
Inverse Similar to gated reverb, the Inverse reverberation envelope is sharply tilted to provide a long rising attack, followed by a sharp cutoff.
