M1 Magnetic Soundhole Pickup Goes Active

Building on the success of the M1 body sensitive soundhole magnetic pickup, L.R. Baggs is introducing an active version in 2005. The M1 Active is powered by a 3V lithium battery that will give you 1,000+ playing hours according to the company and features a built-in volume control.

The M1 Active will still feature the same Tri-Axial Dynamic Technology found in the passive M1 and includes adjustable pole pieces for perfect balance with smooth, threadless tops to protect fingernails. The pickup also includes an internal Class A discrete preamplifier/line driver and a simple 1/8" jack on the pickup allows for easy installation and removal of the M1.
