MP-1 Pure Tube In/Tube Out Mic Pre from A Designs

A Designs Audio announced the MP-1 pure tube in/tube out mono microphone preamplifier at AES. This zero feedback design employs a custom wound input and output balanced transformer to produce full bandwidth signal at the lowest possible noise level. Constructed with high quality parts, including a Jensen input transformer, this 2ru device is intended for demanding applications such as vocals and acoustic instruments. It delivers the detail and dynamic range suited for digital recording techniques while preserving the warmth and richness of analog. Front panel includes independent polarity, phantom power, level controls plus a large backlit true VU meter.

The back panel includes a Neutrik Combo XLR 1/4" connector. The 1/4" input can also be used as a Direct-In for instruments. The MP-1 is American built and now shipping.
