Meinl Announces Nino Bongo SetNov 13, 1998 Click image for closeup | At the first glance the Nino Bongo Set looks very much like a normal pair of bongos. Natural skins, four tuning hooks, black powder coated hardware and wooden shells complete the package. The combination of these features produces an instrument which has a finely balanced sound. But the most unique feature is not readily apparent - the size of these drum are 6.5" and 7.5" ! These small sizes are perfect for the small hands of children. That is why Meinl has included this Bongo Set in the Nino range of instruments. Great sounding instruments, sized-for children's hands, can open the world of rhythm for children and also be a new adventure for professionals.
