 Meinl Expands Classics Range Of CymbalsMar 30, 1999

Meinl has recently increased the Classics range of professional cymbals with the addition of three exotic China Splashes and a 20" Flat Ride. The new 8", 10" and 12" models are perfect for that short, sharp and precise accent which is musical necessity in today's progressive music. These China Splashes have a sort of bell-like tone quality due to the fine lathing and wide brim design. Often they are the perfect sound substitution for a crash effect or large china effect. The 20" Flat Ride rounds out the ride cymbal selection for this series. Flat Rides are known for their glassytecture which is perfect for bridge passages in Jazz ballads, or subtle sections of a rock anthem. Meinl's 20" Classics Flat Ride is the epitomy of this type sound. Crystal clarity and precise definition are the outstanding features of this model.
