Meinl Introduces Generation X Series Marco Minnemann Alien HatsMar 19, 2002 Click image for closeup | Meinl's new Generation X Series Hihats are made from FX9 alloy and are available in 8", 10", and 12". They come in a specially designed carton which has information on each Alien Hat model, along with a complete transcription of Marco's famous triple hi-hat groove. "The 8" Alien Hats produce a very sharp and extremely cutting sound. Perfect for quick accents and fast hihat sticking patterns." explains Marco. "The 10" model is used as an auxiliary hihat or as the main hihat. The thick bottom cymbal produces a very full sound when played with your foot, yet the pair doesn't sound obstrusive when played with the sticks. Ideal for heel-toe playing. The 12" Alien Hats complement the other Alien sets perfectly. Four jingles attached to the bottom hat produce a very cutting sound when played by feet. It's ideal for rudimental patterns played by feet between two hihats." For more information, visit their web site at www.meinl.de. |
