British amp manufacturer Cornford Amplification has donated two items to the Ernie Ball company for auction on Ebay, with all proceeds going to the Casey Lee Ball foundation for Pediatric kidney research.
The first item is an Epiphone 56 Goldtop Les Paul signed by Jakob Dylan (Wallflowers). The auction for this guitar will run from August 22nd through August 31st. The Wallflowers will release their fourth album, Red Letter Day, on November 5th. The band plans on touring heavily throughout the rest of the year, and into 2003, in support of the record.
The second item up for auction will be serial #1 of Conford's new "Hellcat" guitar amplifier Bids will be accepted beginning August 29th, with the auction running through September 7th. Cornford Amplification recently launched the brand new "Hellcat", a 35-watt, hand wired tube head at Namm 2002. 100% of the proceeds of this auction benefit the Casey Lee Ball Foundation. This non-profit organization works for the advancement of pediatric kidney research. Casey Lee Ball, third son of Sterling Ball, was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease at age two. At age five, while Casey and Sterling were recuperating from kidney transplant surgery, they decided to create the Casey Lee Ball Foundation. As a result of their timeless efforts over the last six years, several new medicines have made it to the market in record time and are helping to reduce the side effects of kidney transplant medications.
