New 2005 Models from Alvarez

New for 2005, Alvarez is adding several models to its various series, from acoustic electric cutaways in the Masterworks Series to a new starter model in the Regent Series.

The flagship MD200C is the company's new top-of-the-line acoustic electric cutaway model featuring solid flame maple back and sides and a solid Engelmann spruce top with scallop bracing and wood maple binding. The model also features an abalone tree of life inlay on the fingerboard, and Alvarez System 600T MkII electronics. The MD200C lists for $1699.

The MD90C cutaway acoustic electric model features a solid Engelmann spruce top with scallop bracing and Indian rosewood back and sides; maple binding, nickel hardware, and Alvarez System 600T MkII electronics. The MD90C lists for $1299.

A new model in the Professional Series is the PD85SCAV, featuring a solid cedar top, solid rosewood back and sides, maple binding, gold hardware, and a satin antique violin finish, along with Alvarez System 600T MkII electronics. The PD85SCAV lists for $999.

The RF20SM is our newest contribution to the Regent Series and features mahogany back and sides and a solid mahogany top with a satin finish. It lists for $319.

All models are scheduled to ship in February.
