The new AK Series basses from Hartke represent a dynamic and affordable newoption for players committed to the groove and exploring unique new sounds.

This AK-4 four string model features a contoured Basswood body for more sustain and a sleek "belly cut" design. Its slim hard maple neck incorporates a rosewood fingerboard with 24 frets. The natural sustain and resonance of the instruments is faithfully captured by two active "soap bar" pickups and a 2-band active EQ system. The AK-4 also features a heavy-duty chrome bridge, adjustable truss rod and wide-ranging volume and tone controls. new AK-5 five string bass is the ideal instrument for expanding your style without going over budget. Like the AK-4, it has a specially contoured Basswood body for more sustain and lightweight comfort along with a special "belly cut" design. The neck is made of hard maple for maximum stability and features a rosewood fingerboard with 24 frets. The AK-5's natural sustain and tonal colors are captured by two active "soap bar" pickups and a 2-band active EQ system. Other features include a heavy-duty chrome bridge, adjustable truss rod and comprehensive volume and tone controls.

Suggested list price for the AK-4 bass is $499.99 and the AK-5 is $569.99.
