Alvarez Guitars unveiled its new Masterworks portable dreadnought at the Summer NAMM show. The MSD1 guitar reflects the current trend in the small, portable guitar market. The smaller-size acoustic is perfect for guitarists on the go or for young players who can't yet manage a full-size guitar.
The MSD-1 features a solid spruce top; solid mahogany back and sides; rosewood fingerboard and bridge; dovetail joint neck construction; tasteful abalone inlay, and lvoroid binding. It also features die-cast, sealed tuners for superior tuning stability. The MSD-1 comes with a heavy-duty, padded gig bag. It's designed by Alvarez Guitars in St. Louis, MO. All Alvarez guitars feature a limited lifetime warranty. The MSD-1 is available for shipment in July, with a suggested retail of $429.
