Applied Research and Technology (ART) used the Summer NAMM show to introduce the SLA 2 Studio Linear Power Amplifier. The SLA 2 is a two-channel power amplifier that delivers 200 watts per channel and occupies just one rack space. Based on the SLA-1, the new SLA-2 adds features and power. For "fixed install" intentions, a Euroblock barrier strip and front panel tamper proof cover are included. For studio use, SmartFan technology cools the unit quietly and efficiently, with the fan speed dependant on the amplifier workload. The rugged SLA-2 is also suitable for moderate live performance needs.
SLA-2 features include:
- Dampened and retractable channel level controls
- Selectable front panel tamper-proof plate
- Efficient and quiet SmartFan cooling technology
- Enhanced, sleek convection cooling fins
- 200 watt stereo, 560 watt bridged mono mode output
- XLR, 1/4" and Euroblock barrier strip connections
The MSRP of the SLA-2 is $379.00.
