New Six-String Double-Neck Bass/Guitar from Gretsch

Understanding that sometimes playing just a guitar or just a bass won't do, the Gretsch Guitar Company now offers the new Double Neck Six-String Bass/Guitar, Synchromatic Electric model G1566. Gretsch's line of newly re-introduced Synchromatic Electric guitars offer easy-playing, good-looking, and great-sounding guitars at an outstanding value. Gretsch Synchromatic guitars of the 1950s laid the stepping stones for the next generation of successful Gretsch electrics that players own and enjoy today.

With a beautiful eye-catching silver sparkle body and headstock with white binding, this guitar measures 1 5/8 inches thick. Both the bass and guitar necks are maple with white-bound rosewood fingerboards, feature dot inlays, and have 22 frets. The scale length is 29-3/4 inches on the bass neck and 24-3/4 inches on the guitar neck. All hardware is chrome plated and includes master volume control, master tone control, three-way pickup selector switch, and three-way instrument selector switch. The three-way instrument selector switch allows the player to select the bass, both instruments, or guitar. Other features of this unique instrument include a Bigsby Licensed vibrato tailpiece on the upper neck (bass) and an original chrome-plated Bigsby vibrato on the lower neck (guitar). Bigsby Vibrato tailpieces allow for trouble free vibrato expression without the tuning problems often associated with other mechanisms. Tune-O-Matic bridges and two Gretsch mini Humbucker pickups on the bass and two Gretsch Humbucker pickups on the guitar help this instrument retain clear, low-end bass tones.
