As I said before, all of the chords in this lesson use either the same fingering as the F chord in page 2, or the Bb chord in page 3. For the Ab major chord, we use the same fingering as the F chord. The fingering for an Ab major chord is shown below:
So how do you go about fingering this? Take your first finger and lay it across all 6 strings on the 4th fret. Now place your 2nd, 3rd, and 4th fingers according to the diagram. Try strumming it. It's OK if some notes don't ring. That's natural. In time, all the notes will ring loud and true. The important thing is that you now know how to play your Ab major chord.
