Rane SSE 22 Stereo Graphic/Parametric Equalizer
Dec 23, 1996
The SSE 22 is a stereo graphic/parametric equalizer designed to correct room response in surround channels, in-wall speakers, and remote stereo applications. The left and right channels feature an 11-band 1/3-octave graphic section for low frequency corrections, plus a 2-band parametric equalizer for high frequencies, delivering +/-6 dB of correction where needed. The SSE 22 is the prefect compliment to equalize the surround channels in systems already using the THX 44 or the SSE 35. Now all channels can deliver even room response, the goal in 5.1 channel digital systems. The SSE 22 greatly improves the response of in-walls, allowing the different to match each other better for a more transparent sound. Anywhere in the home where remote speakers are used, regardless of brand or type, the SSE 22 makes a difference. The SSE 22 installs between the preamp/controller and the power amplifiers. Once set-up, all controls are hidden behind the included security panel. A low-noise power supply and attachable rack mounting ears are also provided. Expected ship date is January 1997.
