Shure Ships M35X Club DJ Phono Cartridge

Shure Incorporated, a manufacturer of microphones and audio electronics, today announced the immediate availability of the M35X phono cartridge. Designed for club DJs spinning everything from house and techno to trance, dance, jungle, and even Top 40, Shure’s new M35X phono cartridge performs with high sonic accuracy and incredible skip resistance, all while keeping record wear to a minimum.

The M35X brings music alive by capturing every nuance of a recording from deep drop bass to exceptionally clear mid and high frequencies. Additionally, the cartridge’s low record wear helps DJs preserve hard-to-replace vinyl, while its high skip resistance serves as a safeguard against the hazards of back-cueing.

The new needle is outfitted with a 0.7 mil spherical stylus capable of rendering the high frequency detail of an elliptical needle and features a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. With a Shure Type 1 cantilever, the M35X is optimized for tracking forces of 1.5 to 3.0 grams and utilizes a moving magnet design to generate a strong output voltage of 6.0 mV.

Available exclusively from Shure dealers internationally, the M35X has a U.S. suggested retail price of $75.
