Sonic Implants' Symphonic Strings Now in Kontakt Format

Jan 26, 2004

Sonic Network, creators of Sonic Implants sound libraries, announced at the winter 2004 NAMM Show the release of its full sized version of the Symphonic Strings Collection in Native-Instrument's Kontakt formats. This joins the line-up of other Kontakt sample libraries which include the popular Atsi West African Dancing Drums, Amps & Pickups 2 Classic Guitars and Basses, Drum Series 1, Afro Cuban (Latin) Percussion and Silk Road Middle Eastern Instruments CD-ROMs.

"This is native programming, no pun intended" added David Fox, Director of Operations at Sonic Network. "We didn't just convert the samples to the Kontakt file format. We worked within the Konkakt software synth to create unique, playable programs. For example, release triggers are programmed for natural ambience and mod-wheel crossfade programs are included for realistic crescendos and decrescendos. More than a year in the making, and involving the talents of a team of musicians, engineers, and Sonic Implants own sound designers, the Symphonic String Collection was recorded by 2001 Emmy award engineer Antonio Oliart and RIAA award engineer John Bono. . The Full collection comes on 20 CD-ROMs (or 3 DVDs).
