Sony Introduces Oxford 6 Pack Plug-In Bundle For Pro Tools Systems

Sony is introducing a comprehensive Oxford "6 Pack" Bundle at the Winter NAMM Convention. The new Bundle includes all six Oxford Plug-Ins: EQ, Dynamics, Inflator, Transient Modulator, Reverb and the recently introduced Limiter.

"Making the entire range of these powerful tools available in a single cost-effective package will provide ProTools®-based engineers, producers and artists with exceptional sonic flexibility and performance," said Paul Foschino, senior manager for professional audio in Sony Electronics' Broadcast and Production Systems Division. "This new bundle represents a substantial savings over the cost of the individual Plug-ins, and developing a complete package of these valuable tools will enable us to expand our user base and continue to grow interest in any future Oxford Plug-ins."

The plug-ins available in the Oxford 6 Pack include:

EQ: Provides fully automatable, unparalleled performance that surpasses analogue EQ in both sound quality and artistic freedom

Dynamics: Offers extraordinary sonic characteristics and dynamic accuracy. Features separate Compress, Limit, Expand, Gate and Side Chain EQ functions.

Transient Modulator: Allows the modification of dynamic level and expedites the shift of transient events up or back in the recording to emphasize or soften individual instruments.

Inflator: A unique process providing an increase in apparent loudness without the obvious loss of quality or reduction of dynamic range. Inflator can effectively expand a recording's power, presence and warmth.

Reverb: An exceptionally flexible stereo reverberation generator expands the user's technical, sonic and artistic facilities. Permits the creation of countless virtual spaces, from dry, reflective or textured ambiences to room and hall simulations

Limiter: Designed to help reduce the risk of sample overloads or reconstructed errors in end-user equipment. An elegant solution to long-standing production and mastering issues, the Limiter Plug-in can provide recordings with unprecedented volume and punch far beyond that available from conventional limiting functions.

The Oxford 6 Pack Plug-in Bundle for ProTools HD and LE systems is currently available at a suggested list price of $2,695 (HD) and $1,075 (LE).
