String Bending 101 - How to Bend Strings, for Beginners

While surfing the web, I recently came across this nice little lesson on string bending. Most beginners are focused on learning chords and scales, but eventually if you want to play rock or blues, you'll need to learn to bend strings. It's not too difficult, and it sounds real cool.

The one thing I would add, especially if you play acoustic -- lighter string gauges make bending a lot easier. I often string my acoustic guitars with light strings on the 1st-3rd string so that I can bend them easier, but medium strings on the 4th-6th to get deeper bass (since the 4th-6th are not bent as often).

I thought this lesson does a good job of summarizing the technique, so enjoy it!
