It's important to just maintain a nice, easy rhythm and to keep playing songs that have nice chords that you really like. I highly recommend taking one of your favorite songbooks and just strumming through the different tunes using some of the patterns we've just covered. You'd be surprised at how much better your strumming sounds in a short amount of time.
