Submersible Music Releases "LuisPack I" Latin Pop Expansion Pack For Drumcore

Submersible Music has started selling the new "LuisPack I" Latin pop expansion pack for DrumCore. This new DrummerPack, for use with its DrumCore software, features smoldering Latin grooves by premiere Latin percussionist Luis Conte. Luis has played and recorded with great artists including Sergio Mendes, Eric Clapton and Madonnna.

LuisPack I is targeted at producers, composers, and musicians who want Latin percussion for pop, jazz and R&B/funk styles. This DrummerPack features "layered" GrooveSets for maximum versatility. Use the mixed version of a conga, tambourine and timbale groove or just the conga track alone. Content is included in both audio and MIDI formats. Plus you get Latin instrument sounds taken from Luis' personal collection for use in DrumCore's MIDI instrument, so you can add extra parts or even program your own beats using Luis' sounds.

Content comes pre-configured with metadata for use with the DrumCore search engine. This provides quick access to grooves, fills, variations and individual drum sounds. Search content based on feel (straight, shuffle, etc.), time signature and tempo. Users can even add their own search criteria (new styles or comments, for example). Content is arranged in "GrooveSets", which are a collection of related beats, variations and fills that serve as a construction kit for song creation. GrooveSets include patterns to compliment traditional verse-chorus structures. Also, since musicians play differently depending on tempo, GrooveSets are recorded at multiple bpms.

All audio is 48kHz/24-bit and recorded in professionally designed studios using state-of-the-art digital (ProTools HD3) and analog (Neumann, Neve, etc.). DrumCore works with all the major audio applications and supports dragging audio and MIDI directly to tracks in applications that support "drag-and-drop" such as Acid®, Audition®, Cubase®, Digital Performer®, Logic®, Nuendo®, Pro Tools® and Sonar™. It also exports audio in standard audio formats such as REX2, WAV and AIFF (including options for sample rate and bit depth).

LuisPack I is priced at $79.99, US retail and requires DrumCore 2 (Mac® or PC) or higher.

"Basic Perc" Agogos/Triangles, Djembes, Guiros, Shakers and Tambourines - Basic 1/4, 1/8th and 1/16th patterns with these instruments, including both straight and accented versions as appropriate. 60-160 bpm.

Bossa Nova - conga, shaker and tambourine. 100-180 bpm.

ChaCha - conga, guiro and timbales. 80-140 bpm.

Churanga - conga and timbales. 140-220 bpm.

Clifford - conga, surdo and caxixi. 120-180 bpm.

Comparsa - congas, cowbells and floor tom. 80-180 bpm.

Merengue - congas, guayo and tambora. 80-180 bpm.

Pop Conga - all conga. 80-200 bpm.

Salsa - bongos, congas, cowbell, maracas and timbales. 160-220 bpm.

Shuffle - doctor my conga has seen...a familiar 70's folk-rock feel. 60-170 bpm.

LuisPack I MIDI Percussion Kits:
Luis uses a host of percussion instruments and playing techniques and these are included with this pack. All the usual Latin instruments are covered including congas, tambora, pandeiro, triangle, agogo, guiro, repique, guayo, djembe, tumba, udo, surdo, cowbells, various shakers and tambourine. This includes great-sounding pieces by Meinl percussion.

Percussion kits include Luis Conte (LC) Basic, LC ChaCha, LC Comparsa, LC Merengue, LC Salsa and LC Sympathy.
