Tech 21 Announces Power Engine 60 Now Available In New ConfigurationsJan 26, 2007 Click image for closeup | Known as a 60-watt, 1x12, multi-purpose powered extension cabinet, Tech 21's popular Power Engine 60 is now available in two new configurations: a 2x12 loaded with Celestion Seventy 80 speakers (same as currently being used in the 1x12 format), and a 4x10 loaded with custom-designed Eminence speakers. The Power Engine 60s can be used with any direct recording device or pre-amp from any manufacturer, including Tech 21's own line of SansAmps. When you plug your favorite device into a Power Engine, you get 60 transparent watts of volume without affecting the tone. So there's no need to labor over readjusting all the parameters for live gigs, as would be necessary when running through a conventional amp. Other features include a level control and 3-band active EQ. Ground-independent XLR and 1/4" inputs and a balanced XLR output can be endlessly chained together for a giant wall of power. These handsome cabinets match and complement Tech 21's Trademark 60 combo amps, which are also available in the same three formats. Power Engine 60-112 MSRP: $435. Power Engine 60-212 MSRP: $605. Power Engine 60-410 MSRP: $765. Manufactured in the U.S.A. For more information, visit their web site at www.tech21nyc.com. |
