Tech 21 Releases Power Engine 60 SeriesAug 23, 1999  Click image for closeup | Tech 21 has released two multi-function, 60-watt powered extension cabinets:the Power Engine 60, which matches and complements their popular Trademark 60 combo amp, and the Power Engine 60T, which matches and complements their recently released Bronzewood 60 dual-channel, acoustic combo amp. In addition to their obvious purpose, these open-back, 1x12 cabinets can also be used with any direct recording device or acoustic pre-amp, analog or digital, tube or solid state, in stomp box or rackmount formats, from any manufacturer (including, of course, Tech 21s own SansAmp line). You can plug your pre-amp of choice into a Power Engine and get 60 watts of volume without affecting the tone. Engineered with ground-independent inputs and output, Power Engines can be endlessly chained to double, triple, etc., your stage volume, as well as facilitate stereo configurations --with a traditional amp or with a pre-amp and stereo processor. for less-than-ideal venues), 1/4 input and balanced XLR input and output.
