by Kerry Galloway Over Major chords, major triads bulit on the 1st or 5th degrees of the scale work well. In the first four bars of this example, over a Cmajor7 chord, the triads would be Cmajor and G major.

For Lydian family chords (major chords with a sharp 4, also written as a sharp 11) you can add the triad built on the 2nd note of the scale. For this exercise, for the second four bars, you can add a Dmajor triad.
