Soloing with Triads (8-Note Dominant) - Page 4

With twelve triads, we have a lot of choices of notes to play. Triads sound tonal, even on a scale like this one, so using them makes your solo sound "inside" even though it isn't.

It's a great way to "fool" the ears of your audience -"Listen, Mildred, he's playing 'All of Me' but it sounds so HIP!"

The sequence illustrates some triads that can be built on Ab, including G# o, G# min, Ab Maj, F o, F min, D o, and E Maj. Notes of this scale are like "Hubs" that depart for many different destinations.
