AKG engineers mixed their decades of experience designing and building headphones with suggestions from internationally known DJs and insights from DJ mixer manufacturer UREI to develop the new K 81 and K 181 DJ headphones.

AKG's 3D-Axis folding mechanism makes it easy to adjust the new DJ 'phones to any listening position. High power handling combined with high sensitivity delivers the sonic impact that DJs demand with minimal distortion, while the Stereo/Mono selector allows single-earphone monitoring without signal loss. The professional features of the K 181 DJ include:
